Ninety-nine

Meufs and Keufs

Both words are French slang for, respectively, women or young women and police agents. The heading was written on a wood placard covering the windows of a shop on the Avenue des Champs Elysées, in Paris. Lately, many shops on this avenue have their windows enwrapped to protect themselves from the attacks of the gilet jaunes (yellow vest) movement who has become violent.

‘Respect the girls, not the cops’, would be a fair translation of the sentence.
